Hi. I am maintenance manager at a small factory and as part of my function is to reduce utility costs. We use several injection moulding machines and a lot of conveyors. We have other equipment but I'm sure the moulders and conveyors are my main energy sources. Could you assist please?

Hello David,

We supply power factor correction equipment and services to facilities with moulding and manufacturing equipment installed. Plastic manufacture and particularly injection moulding processes induce a heavy inductive load on an electricity supply. Our products and services ensure the reactive power generated as a result is mitigated and not an addition to electricity costs and carbon emissions. The current reduction of the electrical system with a good power factor promotes conductor and component lifespan.

We would need a site visit to establish if you have PFC equipment already connected to any electricity supplies onsite, its condition and output or to specify whether it would be cost effective to implement this equipment on your site.

If the power factor shown on your electricity bill is below 0.95 our products and services will provide a cost effective solution to reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.

To arrange a site visit contact enquiries@pqis.co.uk or call 01257 434218
